Episode 9 is a landmark for precious Tom and Jeremy: not only the longest yet, but their first band interview to boot! Nerves abounded, but beer and bro-down economics overcame. The result... well, you be the judge! We think it's fantastic. Major thanks to Student Film for enduring an hour of grilling (not the good kind of grilling). We've got a few songs from them plus a song from King Kong and one from Ilya, whom Student Film will be opening for on Friday, February 3.

Also this episode is a song from the Octopus Project, who are playing in Norman on Saturday, February 4.

Plus, we got a request for the Guillemots to which we happily complied.

Enjoy!

Hey, folks. Since we didn't actually get around to telling you about any of the touring bands and other shows coming up this week in oklahoma, we decided to do a little supplement doing just that.

Listen to Tom and Jeremy goof off on a Monday night to songs by bands playing this week. Hear Mi & L'au, The Roustabouts, Record Hop, and Criteria.

Please check OklahomaRock.com for all the dates for these and many, many other shows. And check that background music courtesy Gravity Propulsion System.

Episode number 6 continues by playing songs from artists with albums being released on January 24. 1/24 is a major release date for many labels, and we're hoping to preview a couple of songs per episode until then. This episode features tracks from the upcoming Cat Power and The Elected albums. (3:15)

After that, Tom serves a heaping helping of some of his favorite tunes, all from bands that start with "J", for some reason. Tracks included from Joan of Arc, The Jesus Lizard, J Church, and Jawbreaker. (11:10)

Following that Jeremy treats us to tracks from Centro-Matic and The Hold Steady. (27:25)

We finish this episode with tracks from touring bands that will be in our area this week. Songs from Get Him Eat Him (Jan. 16th at the Conservatory) and Jason Anderson (Jan. 12th at the Opolis). (35:35)

Apologies for the delay. We started this on Friday, and worked on it all day. Yet problem after problem, and just the sheer length of the show prevented us from being finished until today, Monday.

You'll hear our special guest DJ Jenny, plus some tracks from upcoming releases by 5RC bands The Advantage and Excepter. In addition, we've got a ton of songs that came out in 2005 from the likes of Single Frame, Mt. Eerie, Riddle of Steel, Spoon, Okkervil River, The Books, Calla, Pelican, Aqueduct, Thanksgiving, and Crooked Fingers. Then we finish it off with a song from a band playing live on Tuesday, January 10 - Berry.
